Become a trustee or join our management committee volunteers

Become a trustee or join our management committee volunteers. Could you be part of our future success? We need new volunteers to help us do this. The hall is run by a management committee of trustees and other volunteers. Anyone with commitment and enthusiasm is welcome to get in touch, but we would especially pleased to hear from people with time to give who have experience in these areas: Administration and book-keeping Events promotion and management Fundraising and grant applications Legal and compliance issues Property and asset management Volunteer management Online promotion including websites and social media Management meetings are held monthly, and in the past trustees and volunteers have run or partnered with other local organisations. These include providing refreshments at Potton Apple Day with Potton Community Orchard or hosting murder mystery dinners with Potton Playhouse. We also put on our own fundraising activities with stalls at seasonal markets, Christmas Lights and a New Year’s Eve party. Outside meetings, individual trustees or management committee volunteers act as secretary, chair and treasurer and others have other specific responsibilities from time-to-time including organising and running fundraising activities. Please contact us by email for an informal chat, or why not come along to one of our friendly meetings as an observer? If you can, please apply on the form below and we will be in touch to request your CV with a short letter outlining your interest in becoming a trustee or management committee volunteer and what you would hope to bring to our community hall.

Charitable Contributions
Potton Hall for All CIO is a registered charity run by a dedicated team of volunteer trustees and committee members. While regular bookings help generate ongoing income, we still rely on the generosity of our community to ensure the hall continues to grow and thrive.
During construction, rising costs meant we had to scale back on some elements to stay within our limited budget. To realise our full vision for the hall, we’re actively seeking additional funding through personal donations, business sponsorships, Section 106 development contributions, grant funding, and local fundraising events.

A Hall Built by and for the Potton Community
Potton is a vibrant town with a rich mix of community groups, choirs, theatre and fitness classes. For many years, the town lacked a venue large enough to host major performances, events, or larger meetings. After 30 years of campaigning originally started by Potton Town Council, a group of passionate volunteers made this long-held dream a reality.
In 2014, the project formalised as the Potton Hall for All Charity, which led the project through funding challenges, design development, and construction.
Working alongside Potton Town Council, and with community support, the charity helped secure land and significant funding through Section 106 planning agreements, along with numerous grants and individual donations.
A huge thank you goes to all of our funders and supporters, including:

Designed for Everyone
In consultation with the community, the Joint Steering Group, made up of charity trustees and council representatives, designed a modern, accessible venue suitable for a wide range of community uses. The result is a purpose built facility, owned by Potton Town Council and managed by Potton Hall for All Charity, with bookings open since March 2024.
We were honoured to welcome His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO for the official opening, celebrating the beginning of a new chapter for Potton’s growing community.
