Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I book the hall?

A: Visit our Bookings tab where you can see hall information, pricing and make a booking, or click here to book.

Q: Do you offer discounts to local residents and not for profit organisations?

A: Yes we offer a discounted rate to those living in the Parish of Potton and not-for-profit organisations. The pricing chart shows the discount already applied.

Q: Is there a minimum hire period?

A: Minimum hire periods are:

Regular non-commercial – 1.5 hours

One off, non-commercial – 3 hours

Commercial – 4 hours

Q: Does the hall have wi-fi?
A: Yes. Wi-fi is available, free of charge, at the hall. Please see signage within the hall for the login details.

Q: Does the hall have a kitchen?
A: A kitchen is available for light catering and has kettles, a hot water urn, one fridge, a bottle chiller and two fan assisted ovens. Please note, the kitchen is not a full commercial kitchen. A full inventory list of items to use in the kitchen is available on our website here. The kitchen must be left clean after each hire. Please click here to go to inventory list.

Q: Is the community hall wheelchair accessible?

A:Yes, we are fully wheelchair accessible with accessible restrooms, and parking spaces.

Q: How many car parking spaces does the hall have?
A: Potton Hall for All has 54 car parking spaces, 6 of which are disabled spaces. 
​

Q: Does the hall have baby change facilities?
A: Yes the hall has a baby changing table along with 6 unisex cubicles and one accessible toilet.

Q: What is the ceiling height on the hall?
A: The ceiling height on the main hall is 5.9m at it’s lowest. The maximum height of an inflatable or bouncy castle allowed is 5m.

Q: Can I bring decorations to the hall?
A: Yes, you are able to bring your own decorations to the hall. Please note that items should not be pinned to the wall or cause any damage. Please see our preferred suppliers and Instagram page for decor ideas.

Q: Am I allowed to bring my own supplier into the hall?
A: Yes, you are allowed to bring your own supplier to the hall as long as they have personal liability insurance (PLI) to the value of £1m and if they are plugging anything in it should be PAT tested with a valid certificate provided. Please note, we have a list of preferred suppliers who have already provided us with this information.

​Q: How do I volunteer or get involved in the community centre?

A: We’re always looking for volunteers and community members to help with events and activities. Find our more information on our join us page or contact us to learn more.

Q: Are there any items which are prohibited? 

A: For the safety of all concerned, we do not allow the use candles (Except birthday cake candles) or anything else with a naked flame. Pressurised containers such as balloon inflators are also prohibited.

No fireworks on site.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy?

A:Should you have to cancel or reschedule your booking, you should let us know as soon as possible. Please check the full details in our terms and conditions.

Q: What is the ceiling height of the foyer space?

A: If booking the whole venue you are able to use the foyer space and the ceiling height there is 3m.

Q: Can two separate groups use the hall at the same time?

A: Meeting Room 1 & 2 has a separate entrance and accessible bathroom facilities. It can also be locked off from the main hall and foyer. 

​

Q: What amenities are close to the hall?

A: There is a café, petrol station and shops within a 10 minute walk of the hall. Buses run from Potton Market Square and our closest train station is Sandy.
